My Services
Mental Health
I have experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of mental health concerns, including:
anxiety
depression
trauma
Services begin with an intake assessment to better understand concerns, identify contributing factors, and specify goals. A treatment plan is then developed that incorporates an evidence-based approach to support increasing insight, improving coping, and working toward individualized goals.
obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
body image concerns
child emotion/behavior dysregulation
Sleep & Health Psychology
Sleep Psychology
I have worked in a pediatric sleep clinic and have expertise in sleep interventions. I recognize the importance of good sleep for promoting both physical and mental health and I understand how children’s sleep difficulties can affect greater family functioning.
Health Psychology
I have experience working with individuals with complex medical needs and neurodevelopmental differences. I have expertise in psychological interventions to improve:
coping with chronic illness
chronic pain management
functional/somatic symptoms
mind-body connections
Parenting Support
I view the parent-child relationship as integral to child mental health and development. Research supports this view, too: Studies repeatedly demonstrate that a strong parent-child relationship is associated with increased youth resilience, including providing protection against negative effects of adverse life experiences.
I also understand parenting is hard (really hard!) and many factors can challenge the parent-child relationship. As such, I provide a safe, shame-free environment where parents can share their parenting challenges and parent-child relationship concerns. I work closely with parents to support better understanding their child’s experience, improving parent-child communication, and strengthening family connections.
